Research overview
Senior Clinical Training Scholars are registered on a three or four year Master of Veterinary Surgery (MVS) programme. The programme provides appropriate exposure to clinical case load and scholarly activity to ensure that candidates are prepared for and meet the criteria for assessment for the specialist clinical qualification in their field.
There are three elements of the MVS course:
- Generic training to support the development of personal and professional skills associated with clinical practice and research
- Clinical training allowing the student to gain comprehensive experience in all aspects of the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients in their chosen area of speciality.
- Clinical research will be conducted, requiring the design and execution of a research project in their chosen area of speciality
Research facilities
Our teaching building comprises a lecture theatre, large seminar room, teaching laboratories and a number of small-group teaching rooms, together with staff offices and research facilities including generic laboratories and specialist facilities such as anaerobic/microbiology, RNA and radioisotope laboratories.
Our clinical building includes a large anatomy laboratory, surgery suite, teaching laboratories, seminar rooms, a large clinical skills laboratory and other clinical skills rooms together with animal facilities.
The school has taken advantage of IT in its design and way of working – all teaching rooms have electronic whiteboards and students access all teaching materials online through our virtual learning environment.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Students who do not meet the entry requirements stated above and students who hold a three-year diploma (Da Zhuan) from a recognised Chinese university with good grades, may be eligible for the University’s pre-Master's Programme delivered on campus at the University of Liverpool International College. Students need to have IELTS 6.5 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
