Research overview
Senior Clinical Training Scholars are registered on a three or four year Master of Veterinary Medicine (MVM) programme. The programme provides appropriate exposure to clinical case load and scholarly activity to ensure that you are prepared for and meet the criteria for assessment for the specialist clinical qualification in your field.
There are three elements of the MVM course:
- generic training to support the development of personal and professional skills associated with clinical practice and research
- clinical training allowing the student to gain comprehensive experience in all aspects of the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients in their chosen area of speciality.
- clinical research will be conducted, requiring the design and execution of a research project in their chosen area of speciality.
Research areas
Research within the school is focused on four strategic research areas:
- One Virology
- Translational Infection Biology
- Diagnostics and Therapeutics
- Ruminant Population Health

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 Students who do not meet the entry requirements stated above and students who hold a three-year diploma (Da Zhuan) from a recognised Chinese university with good grades, may be eligible for the University’s pre-Master's Programme delivered on campus at the University of Liverpool International College. Students need to have IELTS 6.5 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
