The School of Life Sciences is a vibrant research environment which provides a focus for biological and biomedical research at the University of Nottingham.
Research overview
The wide-ranging interests and expertise of academic supervisors means that research projects are available from single molecule analyses though to studies at the level of whole organisms, and multi-disciplinary research and training is strongly supported in this environment.
Research facilities
The school is well equipped for contemporary research projects in the biochemistry area with state-of-the-art DNA sequencing and cell imaging facilities.

- BBSRC-funded Synthetic Biology Research Centre
- MRC Centre for Musculoskeletal Aging
- Centre of Membrane Proteins and Receptors (COMPARE)

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 Students who do not meet the entry requirements stated above and students who hold a three-year diploma (Da Zhuan) from a recognised Chinese university with good grades, may be eligible for the University’s pre-Master's Programme delivered on campus at the University of Liverpool International College. Students need to have IELTS 6.5 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
