在這里學(xué)什么？ Gain specialist knowledge and practical experience in physics and astronomy with this accredited course. This degree programme offers some fantastic opportunities for hands-on learning. You will conduct astronomical research by gathering data from our rooftop facilities and telescopes, and analyse data using international facilities around the world and in space. You'll also gain a wide range of skills in image processing and data analysis. This will open up many career paths, from astronomical research to careers in the industrial and financial sectors.You will develop a specialist understanding of astronomy through tailored modules such as Cosmology and Extreme Astrophysics. Facilities like our black hole lab and astrophysics supercomputer will enhance your learning experience. We are proud that research undertaken within the School, by Professor Sir Peter Mansfield, was recognised with a 2003 Nobel Prize for the invention of Magnetic Resonance Imaging body scanners. This technology has already helped more than half a billion people worldwide. More recently, our use of quantum technologies to understand how the brain works is changing the way that neurological conditions are detected and treated.We share our love of physics with budding scientists worldwide through the popular Sixty Symbols YouTube channel. We encourage students to share their fascination with physics with schools and the wider community through our outreach programme. 為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 Students who have completed 12 years of education (Gao Zhong) in China must complete a Foundation Programme or GCE A Level (or equivalent) and demonstrate proficiency in English language in order to progress on to an undergraduate degree programme. Students who successfully complete the Foundation Certificate, obtaining the grades required for their chosen degree programme, will be guaranteed admission to the University. Students need to have IELTS 6.0 with minimum 5.5 in each component.
