在這里學(xué)什么？
The BSc Management students acquire the skills needed to be effective managers. They learn how to understand organisations and management practice through the rigorous lenses of economics, statistics, mathematics and psychology. The curriculum focuses on critical thinking and problem solving, using logic and analysis. Students are encouraged to consider theory and evidence: "What data might support this claim?", “How can we evaluate whether the data do support this claim?”, "What are the unstated assumptions behind this statement?"
This disciplinary training is complemented by a series of courses focusing on the key functions of the modern organisation, so that graduating students have good business sense alongside strong theoretical understanding. The programme also develops practical management competence, including the ability to work in teams, to write clearly both for managerial and scientific purposes, to conduct robust and valid quantitative analysis and present the results, and to give oral presentations. Students also have the opportunity to apply to spend a year studying abroad at one of our global partners, between their second and third years of the BSc Management programme.
This degree will serve students in good stead whether they wish to go straight into the job market, or proceed to graduate study. Many recent graduates have found employment in management consultancy, investment banking, general management and public sector management.
