In this major, you’ll study policy in nations, between nations, and in non-governmental settings. Students delve into questions of power, conflict, cooperation, and diversity in the U.S. and across the world. With these questions, you'll learn about decision-making and disagreement management. Instruction is divided into five areas: American politics, comparative politics, public policy, political theory, and international relations. Your coursework will teach you how to gather, analyze, and interpret data and evidence. You will also learn how to write and communicate with confidence. In your classes, you'll learn how to collaborate on projects. You can choose from two concentrations:
Political Science
Civic Leadership
Students must complete one concentration in consultation with an academic advisor.

為來(lái)自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Students should complete their high school courses strong grades in these courses. English: 4 years required; Math: 3 or 3.5 years required, 4 years recommended; Social sciences: 2 years required, 4 years recommended; Lab sciences: 2 years required, 4 years recommended; Language other than English: 2 years required, 4 years recommended; Flexible academic units: 2 years required, 4+ years recommended. English language Requirements: International undergraduate students whose total TOEFL scores are 102 (TOEFL iBT) or below (*total IELTS score of 7.0 or below) are required to take the EPT. To be exempt from EPT, students must score either on TOEFL iBT: total 103 or above, and 25 or above on both speaking & writing; or on IELTS: 7.5 or above total, and 7 or above on both speaking and writing.
