The Gies accountancy major combines technical knowledge in accounting, assurance, taxation, and data analytics with professional competencies in critical thinking, communication, leadership, and strategic decision-making. Accountancy majors will study the principles, concepts, and methods used to record and report the transactions and activities of a business entity, as well as the tools and processes to audit and analyze accounting information. Accountancy majors will also study the role of accounting information in shaping and implementing key business strategies. Career opportunities for accountancy majors include positions in audit and assurance services, corporate accounting, taxation, consulting and advisory services, and in governmental and not-for-profit entities.

為來自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Students should complete their high school courses strong grades in these courses. English: 4 years required; Math: 3 or 3.5 years required, 4 years recommended; Social sciences: 2 years required, 4 years recommended; Lab sciences: 2 years required, 4 years recommended; Language other than English: 2 years required, 4 years recommended; Flexible academic units: 2 years required, 4+ years recommended. English language Requirements: International undergraduate students whose total TOEFL scores are 102 (TOEFL iBT) or below (*total IELTS score of 7.0 or below) are required to take the EPT. To be exempt from EPT, students must score either on TOEFL iBT: total 103 or above, and 25 or above on both speaking & writing; or on IELTS: 7.5 or above total, and 7 or above on both speaking and writing.
