在這里學什么？ Your Pharmacology degree will examine molecular aspects of how drugs can be used to treat disease in humans and animals as scientists seek an improved quality of life for all.You will study human disease at all levels, from genetic mutations through organ degeneration, such as the brain in Alzheimer’s disease, up to whole body metabolic disorders like diabetes. In year four, you will complete an extensive laboratory-based research project in the heart of our state-of-the-art Life Sciences building or with the research groups based at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust You will learn the major concepts and principles of pharmacology in years one and two through core topics, before completing a research project of your own in your third year.Our teaching staff are actively involved in pharmacological research in areas such as nerve damage and recovery, developmental biology, oncology and the development of new antibiotics which will feed into your learning.You will have the opportunity to spend a year out of university putting your skills to use in the pharmaceutical industry. A Pharmacology degree will equip you for careers in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, scientific officer roles, teaching, forensic medicine and managerial roles in business. There is also the opportunity to go on to study for a higher degree such as an MSc or PhD.

為來自中國的學生設計 To be considered for a place on one of our undergraduate (bachelors) degrees, you will need: First year of a relevant degree from a high ranked Chinese university, with an average grade of at least 70-80% . National Senior High School Certificate (three years), achieving an overall Grade B (80%) with minimum B (80%) in subjects relevant to the chosen undergraduate course. Students completing two years of Senior High School should have achieved 85%, National Senior High School Certificate (for both two and three years), achieving an overall 85% with 85% in maths and physics. National Senior High School Certificate (three years) achieving 80% overall, with 80% in both biology and chemistry. Students completing two years should achieve 85% overall with 855 in biology and chemistry. IELTS 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 5.5 in all components.
