專業(yè)概況
在這里學(xué)什么？ Our unique interdisciplinary degree will develop your understanding of our marine environment and how it interacts with the Earth’s processes. You will gain an in-depth knowledge of oceanography and the study of the ocean and its relationship to the planet, whilst complimenting your study with modules in physical geography. You will gain a full picture of the Earth from its core, through to the ocean and land right up to the atmosphere. Our students typically spend 75% of their degree in Oceanography with 25% in Physical Geography. Taught by expert staff, you will be part of an innovative research environment with access to cutting edge facilities including our dedicated research vessels, which are moored just minutes away from our lecture theatres. In year-three you will complete an independent project in one of our research groups. Fieldwork is an integral part of the course and you will be coached in a variety of current fieldwork techniques in a number of exciting locations.All of our Oceanography courses are accredited by the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST). 為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) To be considered for a place on one of our undergraduate (bachelors) degrees, you will need: First year of a relevant degree from a high ranked Chinese university, with an average grade of at least 70-80% . National Senior High School Certificate (three years), achieving an overall Grade B (80%) with minimum B (80%) in subjects relevant to the chosen undergraduate course. Students completing two years of Senior High School should have achieved 85%, National Senior High School Certificate (for both two and three years), achieving an overall 85% with 85% in maths and physics. National Senior High School Certificate (three years) achieving 80% overall, with 80% in both biology and chemistry. Students completing two years should achieve 85% overall with 855 in biology and chemistry. IELTS 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 5.5 in all components.
