專業(yè)概況
在這里學(xué)什么？ This is a unique, multidisciplinary degree, based at the incredible, world-leading National Oceanography Centre Southampton (NOCS). You will cover all the key ocean sciences, including marine biology, marine geology, marine geophysics, marine physics and marine chemistry, giving you the chance to explore and learn more about the breadth of oceanography and the oceans. You will build your knowledge and skills progressively over four years.You will learn how the fundamental sciences of oceanography interact within the marine environment. As your degree progresses there will be more emphasis placed on focusing your knowledge on specialised subject-specific marine science. You will develop your practical skills in the laboratory and on board our research vessels, which are moored minutes away from the lecture theatres at our waterfront campus. You will also take part in a dedicated oceanography field course and research-orientated independent projects.The course is taught by academics who have influenced policy and decision-making at government at national and European level. Our students benefit from their links with industry, government and other major oceanography and marine biology centres around the world.All of our Oceanography courses are accredited by the Institute of Marine Engineering Science and Technology (IMarEST). Oceanography is ranked 4th in the world for academic rankings of world universities *Shanghai Ranking's Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2020

為來(lái)自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) To be considered for a place on one of our undergraduate (bachelors) degrees, you will need: First year of a relevant degree from a high ranked Chinese university, with an average grade of at least 70-80% . National Senior High School Certificate (three years), achieving an overall Grade B (80%) with minimum B (80%) in subjects relevant to the chosen undergraduate course. Students completing two years of Senior High School should have achieved 85%, National Senior High School Certificate (for both two and three years), achieving an overall 85% with 85% in maths and physics. National Senior High School Certificate (three years) achieving 80% overall, with 80% in both biology and chemistry. Students completing two years should achieve 85% overall with 855 in biology and chemistry. IELTS 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 5.5 in all components.
