專業(yè)概況
在這里學(xué)什么？ From medieval polyphony to global hip hop, our music degree courses provide a broad musical education covering history, culture and society taught in exciting research-led modules. Our course does not favour one kind of music over another, and our flexible approach means that you can choose modules from any other discipline to complement your music studies. You will be taught in tutorials, seminars and lectures by world-class academics. Our skills-oriented training will provide valuable transferable skills to prepare you for any career that requires critical thinking, teamwork and writing skills. The year abroad will allow you to experience an entirely new culture and learn or develop another language.We are first in the UK for music research (REF, 2014). Our flexible course offers an innovative range of options across performance, composition, music history and criticism, music technology, music therapy and the music profession. We also offer academic and performance bursaries for outstanding students and opportunities for all students to work in professional environments and live music venues, including Turner Sims, famous for its professional concert series.

為來自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) To be considered for a place on one of our undergraduate (bachelors) degrees, you will need: First year of a relevant degree from a high ranked Chinese university, with an average grade of at least 70-80% . National Senior High School Certificate (three years), achieving an overall Grade B (80%) with minimum B (80%) in subjects relevant to the chosen undergraduate course. Students completing two years of Senior High School should have achieved 85%, National Senior High School Certificate (for both two and three years), achieving an overall 85% with 85% in maths and physics. National Senior High School Certificate (three years) achieving 80% overall, with 80% in both biology and chemistry. Students completing two years should achieve 85% overall with 855 in biology and chemistry. IELTS 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 5.5 in all components.
