在這里學什么？ Our BA Modern Languages allows you to develop proficiency in three foreign languages. Your study will also involve exploring cultural, social, historical and linguistic issues related to the languages you are studying and the areas of the world in which they are spoken. This course is for proven talented linguists and allows you to study three languages. Two must be at advanced level and one can be from scratch. Choose from French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, English and Chinese. Except for English, all the languages can be studied from scratch. You may choose one or two option modules per semester relating to the languages you are studying. You will spend your third year abroad in a French, German, Spanish or Portuguese-speaking country. Modern languages and linguistics at Southampton is ranked fifth in the UK for the quality of our research (REF 2014). Teaching and learning is supported by three research centres, Transnational Studies, Global Englishes and Applied Language Research.

為來自中國的學生設計 To be considered for a place on one of our undergraduate (bachelors) degrees, you will need: First year of a relevant degree from a high ranked Chinese university, with an average grade of at least 70-80% . National Senior High School Certificate (three years), achieving an overall Grade B (80%) with minimum B (80%) in subjects relevant to the chosen undergraduate course. Students completing two years of Senior High School should have achieved 85%, National Senior High School Certificate (for both two and three years), achieving an overall 85% with 85% in maths and physics. National Senior High School Certificate (three years) achieving 80% overall, with 80% in both biology and chemistry. Students completing two years should achieve 85% overall with 855 in biology and chemistry. IELTS 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 5.5 in all components.
