在這里學什么？ Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics and Economics (MORSE) is a broad, business-oriented mathematics degree. It's ideal if you're thinking of a career as a professional mathematician, researcher, statistician or economist.Our 3-year programme will give you a foundation in the main areas of mathematics, such as:* algebra* calculus* differential equationsOperational research modules will show you how to use maths to model and solve practical problems. Statistics modules explain how to analyse uncertain data.Within economics you’ll learn how to create models of the complex interactions in an economic system.This course will develop your abilities in:* problem-solving* logical argument* deductive reasoning* abstraction* generalisationAs part of this course you can:choose from a range of optional modules to follow your interestsdiscover a range of mathematical techniques, such as graphical networks, cost models, decision processes and statistical modellingsolve real-world problems using mathematics and other skillsuse our student centre, a dedicated learning and social space for maths studentsexplore mathematical and computational packages such as Python and the statistics package 'R'We'll teach you through a combination of lectures and workshops. Our staff are leading researchers in fields like game theory, healthcare modelling and experiment design.Southampton mathematics graduates are in great demand. Depending on your degree specialism, a wide range of career destinations are available including mathematician, statistician, actuary and financial analyst. 為來自中國的學生設計 To be considered for a place on one of our undergraduate (bachelors) degrees, you will need: First year of a relevant degree from a high ranked Chinese university, with an average grade of at least 70-80% . National Senior High School Certificate (three years), achieving an overall Grade B (80%) with minimum B (80%) in subjects relevant to the chosen undergraduate course. Students completing two years of Senior High School should have achieved 85%, National Senior High School Certificate (for both two and three years), achieving an overall 85% with 85% in maths and physics. National Senior High School Certificate (three years) achieving 80% overall, with 80% in both biology and chemistry. Students completing two years should achieve 85% overall with 855 in biology and chemistry. IELTS 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 5.5 in all components.
