在這里學(xué)什么？ This Integrated Masters in Languages (MLang) leads to a full masters award and offers you the same choice and flexibility as the BA programmes, including a full year abroad. It also has the same funding options. Combining French with German gives you the opportunity of studying two neighbouring European cultures and their hugely important languages. This programme offers you real insights into the cultures and societies of the larger French and German speaking worlds, and sharpens your understanding of their commonalities and differences. Linguistics is the study of language in all its forms and is concerned with the many different facets of language, from the physical properties of sound waves in speech and the structure of sentences to the social context in which conversations are embedded. At Southampton, linguistics modules cover various areas of linguistics, including how languages are structured, their differences and similarities, how they are taught and learned, as well as how their use varies in different speech communities. The broad range of linguistics modules available reflects our expertise and our emphasis on choice. Modern languages and linguistics at Southampton is ranked fifth in the UK for the quality of our research (REF 2014). Teaching and learning is supported by three research centres, Transnational Studies, Global Englishes and Applied Language Research.

為來(lái)自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) To be considered for a place on one of our undergraduate (bachelors) degrees, you will need: First year of a relevant degree from a high ranked Chinese university, with an average grade of at least 70-80% . National Senior High School Certificate (three years), achieving an overall Grade B (80%) with minimum B (80%) in subjects relevant to the chosen undergraduate course. Students completing two years of Senior High School should have achieved 85%, National Senior High School Certificate (for both two and three years), achieving an overall 85% with 85% in maths and physics. National Senior High School Certificate (three years) achieving 80% overall, with 80% in both biology and chemistry. Students completing two years should achieve 85% overall with 855 in biology and chemistry. IELTS 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 5.5 in all components.
