專業(yè)概況
在這里學(xué)什么？ Intended for ambitious students with career aspirations in academic or commercial research, our MChem with year-long industry experience degree allows you to obtain significant industrial training in an advanced chemistry environment. Students have completed placements at organisations such as GlaxoSmithKline, Pzifer and Merck.During your placement you will be able to keep your knowledge and theory up-to-date with well-supported online learning. Our dedicated placement tutor will also support you throughout your placement.You'll develop in-depth knowledge of core chemistry topics while gaining extensive laboratory experience. In your third year, you'll also complete a research project based in Southampton. You’ll complete your practical work in outstanding teaching laboratories. Following a recent multimillion-pound investment in our facilities, you’ll have access to state-of-the-art equipment and gain an excellent practical training. You’ll be able to use NMR and IR spectrometers and X-Ray diffraction facilities to analyse your own samples in the laboratories.This course is accredited by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) increasing the employability and enhancing the CVs of our graduates.

為來(lái)自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) To be considered for a place on one of our undergraduate (bachelors) degrees, you will need: First year of a relevant degree from a high ranked Chinese university, with an average grade of at least 70-80% . National Senior High School Certificate (three years), achieving an overall Grade B (80%) with minimum B (80%) in subjects relevant to the chosen undergraduate course. Students completing two years of Senior High School should have achieved 85%, National Senior High School Certificate (for both two and three years), achieving an overall 85% with 85% in maths and physics. National Senior High School Certificate (three years) achieving 80% overall, with 80% in both biology and chemistry. Students completing two years should achieve 85% overall with 855 in biology and chemistry. IELTS 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 5.5 in all components.
