Our Master of Science program focuses on Clinical Informatics and Patient-Centered Technologies (MS-CIPCT) and is open to students with a bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
As a MS-CIPCT student, you will learn how to understand and promote the increasing role of technology in clinical settings, as well as how to implement a wide variety of tools and technologies to enhance the work of healthcare professionals and improve patient outcomes.
Curriculum
The MS-CIPCT program requires a minimum of fifteen months to complete with full-time study, or two years on a part-time basis. The CIPCT program is offered jointly with the UW School of Medicine.
You can complete the MS-CIPCT program entirely online. In-person attendance is only required at the Annual Meeting and Orientation session in September of the first and second year.
We prepare students to be leaders, innovators, and integrators of clinical practice and technology.
Graduates can:
Evaluate current and future Health Information Technology (HIT) needs and recommend optimal solutions
Identify barriers, challenges, and solutions in HIT adoption
Interface with developers to ensure IT implementation for clinical use is effective and user-friendly
Manage adoption and use of patient-centered technologies
Assess performance of information systems in patient care
Improve the flow of patient information within and outside of an organization

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 Prospective graduate students must meet the following minimum requirements: Hold a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university in the U.S.1or its equivalent from a foreign institution; Have earned at least a 3.0 grade-point-average (on a 4 point scale) for the last 90 graded quarter credits or 60 graded semester credits. Other English Language Requirements: 580 paper-based TOEFL.
