Join the Next Generation of Chemical Scientists
Chemistry is at the center of so many scientific breakthroughs today.
Advanced tools in chemical science and technology — including new ways to acquire chemical data and quantitative informatics to analyze that data and extract useful information — have led to discoveries in biotech, pharmaceuticals, clean energy and more.
The new Master of Science in Applied Chemical Science & Technology at the University of Washington will teach you how to harness these tools for real-world problem solving and scientific advancement.
Degree Requirements
To earn your degree on the 36-credit non-thesis track, you must complete:
18 credits of core courses (6 courses)
6 credits of other 500-level CHEM courses (2 courses)
3 credits of seminars (3 seminars)
9 credits of graduate research (CHEM 600)
To earn your degree on the 48-credit thesis track, you complete the requirements above, plus:
At least 12 graduate research with thesis credits (CHEM 700)
Write a thesis that meets the satisfaction of your primary advisor and submit the thesis to the graduate school
Successfully defend the thesis before your primary advisor and two other faculty members

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Prospective graduate students must meet the following minimum requirements: Hold a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university in the U.S.1or its equivalent from a foreign institution; Have earned at least a 3.0 grade-point-average (on a 4 point scale) for the last 90 graded quarter credits or 60 graded semester credits. Other English Language Requirements: 580 paper-based TOEFL.
