The Master of Health Administration program at the University of Washington trains the health care leaders of tomorrow. Designed for early career professionals, our two-year, full-time program will equip you with the leadership skills needed to launch your career in health administration and make an impact on the future of health care.
Academic Experience
The UW MHA program trains early-career professionals in the business and operations side of health care. With a unique focus on leadership development, our program prepares graduates for careers in management in a variety of health care settings.
Program Format
The UW MHA is a full-time, two-year (six-quarter) program. Students do not take any courses in the summer between years one and two, when they participate in a full-time internship in the health care field.

MHA graduates are qualified to fill a wide variety of health administration positions, including in these areas:
Junior, mid-level and senior management
Business development and project management
Process management and improvement
Clinical program evaluation and quality management
Policy development, analysis and evaluation
