The Asian American Studies Department and the Department of Community Health Sciences in the School of Public Health offer a concurrent degree program whereby students can work for the M.A. in Asian American Studies and the M.P.H. Students must complete the program requirements for both degrees. When applying, the same statement of purpose may be submitted to each program.
The academic departments and degree offerings of the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health provide the type of cutting edge public health training and practical, hands on experience that the next generation of public health leaders must have in order to tackle the types of public health challenges that we’ll be facing in the decades to come.
The UCLA Fielding School of Public Health comprises five departments: Biostatistics, Community Health Sciences, Environmental Health Sciences, Epidemiology and Health Policy and Management. There are also two interdepartmental programs housed within the Environmental Health Sciences Department: Molecular Toxicology and Environmental Science and Engineering.
