Help shape the global money markets with a Master of Advanced Finance.
The Master of Advanced Finance is for recent graduates or professionals already working in the finance industry. The course provides an opportunity to study the latest theories, practices and models that will shape the future of the sector.
As part of this degree, you’ll gain advanced insight into global financial markets, funds management, financial planning, money market dealing and business forecasting. Your studies will also have an ethics, environmental and corporate social responsibility focus.
The degree offers practical ways to apply your knowledge through the trading simulation programs run at Monash STAR Lab. You can also choose to undertake a research pathway, which can act as a pathway to a PhD.
The program is a CFA program partner of the CFA Institute, which awards the international Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Our Master of Advanced Finance will give you insights into the industry, and can also be a research pathway into our competitive doctoral program for those wanting to pursue a PhD.
The study options within this degree offer a variety of distinct pathways, depending on your career aspirations. You can either undertake a master’s coursework degree, with the chance to explore fintech, environmental finance and big data, or pursue a research pathway, which can lead to a PhD. You’ll also learn from leading academics in the field of finance as well as industry experts.
