Laws and Politics, Philosophy and Economics is a double degree which equips you with skills of the future. This double degree will allow you to complement your practical knowledge of the Australian legal system with a grounding in Politics, Philosophy and Economics.

The Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics (BPPE) is an innovative degree that equips graduates with the intellectual and practical skills necessary to comprehend and navigate the changing world in the 21st century.

Whatever the field of law, international law, intellectual property, criminal law, human rights law, biotechnology law, tax or family law, lecturers at Monash will challenge you to develop career-ready skills in legal knowledge, research, analysis and persuasive written and oral communication. You will acquire a solid foundation in the concepts, procedures and reasoning underpinning the Australian legal system and the research, analytical and communication skills of the legal profession. You will also be challenged to think critically and creatively, to resist easy answers or simplistic solutions and to develop an ethical and intellectual framework within which to understand what it means to be human, and how this changes over time.

Graduates will finish their BPPE having mastered the main ideas shaping our understanding of the social world. They will move beyond existing frameworks by studying at the creative intersections between politics, philosophy and economics. This interdisciplinary grounding will culminate in practical, skills-based applications of the conceptual tools provided by the BPPE to produce graduates ready for the challenges and possibilities of the century ahead.

為來自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) VET Certificate IV graduates: To be considered, applicants who have completed VCE or its equivalent and who are applying with a Humanities or Social Science based Cert IV will require an average result of at least 80%. Programs that involve competency-based assessment without grades or marks will not meet the admission requirements. No credit is granted for these studies
