We have the most established and well-regarded accountancy programme in Singapore and the region, with a long tradition (more than five decades) of training professional accountants for leadership roles as partners in accounting firms, chief financial officers of major corporations and managing directors of public and private companies. Globally Accredited and Recognised
A three-year direct honours programme, our Bachelor of Accountancy degree is recognised as a professional accounting qualification in Singapore by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore and the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority. It is also accredited by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, CPA Australia, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, for entry into their respective programmes.
Students who complete our Bachelor of Accountancy programme may receive module exemptions from the following professional bodies should they take up post-qualification professional development courses such as the Singapore’s national Chartered Accountant Qualification (SCAQ) administered by ISCA to name one.
Experiential Semester Programme (ESP)
To provide students with a competitive edge in the job market, NBS is introducing the option to allow accounting students to take up a semester-long internship and still be able to complete their program in the usual time span of 3 years. This will place our accounting students on a more levelled playing field with their peers.
With this ESP model, B.Acc students can opt for six-month’ internship in any semester after completing Year 2 Semester 1.
