The Middle Eastern and Central Asian regions of the World are rich in history, geographical wonders, political turmoil, and socio-cultural influence. They are areas of constant domestic and international interest as events often unfold which have global relevance and significance.
This program will take you through the topics, debates and developments in the Middle East and Central Asia. You will study the socio-cultural, political, historical and economic structures of these regions and develop a comprehensive knowledge of their relationship to global socio-cultural, political and economic trends.
To fully engage with the history and culture of the regions, you can also study a Middle Eastern or Central Asian language.

- Analyze current debates relating to regional cooperation and unity in the context of tensions in traditions,
- Analyze the global significance of events and developments in the Middle East and Central Asia, and
- Communicate in a Middle Eastern or Central Asian language.

為來(lái)自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Admission to undergraduate programs at ANU, the following qualifications from an approved institution will be considered when assessing applicant’s eligibility: Australian Year 12 or international equivalent. Completed Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) level 5 or higher. Minimum 1 year of full-time enrolment (1.0 FTE) in a single bachelor program study. English Language Requirements: Academic IELTS: An overall score of 6.5 with at least 6 in each component of the test; a score of 570 with TWE score of 4.5 in TOEFL (paper based test); A score of 80, with a minimum of 20 in Reading and Writing and 18 in Speaking and Listening in TOEFL (internet based test); Cambridge CAE Advanced (Post 2015): An overall score of 176 with a minimum of 169 in all sub-skills. PTE Academic an overall score of 64 with a minimum score of 55 in each of the communicative skills.
