My name is Tom. I am from England. I love food, coffee and soccer. My favorite team is Manchester United. I love eating hamburgers but they make me very fat. I have a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Lincoln (UK). I like to teach using sports, activities and games. I look forward to meeting you all!

I am Sean Roken. It has been one of my pleasures to be a part of EF Dongguan since 2012. I was born and raised in New York City. I graduated from CUNY Brooklyn College. I enjoy travel and exploring new places. My mother’s side of the family is from Guangdong, so it has been really nice to be back here in China. I enjoy reading and watching movies, especially anything sci-fi or fantasy. I look forward to studying English with you.

Hello, my name is Ryan Lambert. I started with EF in March of 2017. I moved to Nancheng from a small town in western North Carolina, a state located in the southeastern United States. I studied history at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW). In the U.S I spent a number of years teaching children and coaching youth sports. When I am not working I enjoy playing and watching sports like American football, ice hockey, and football(soccer). I have enjoyed drawing and painting since I was a child and have a great appreciation for the arts. I have enjoyed my free time in China by traveling, trying a variety of Chinese foods and learning about the culture and history of Dongguan and the surrounding area. I believe that every person should think of themselves as a student for life, and seek out every opportunity to understand the world around them and the universe beyond. I look forward to another year of getting to know my students and helping them grow and flourish in their study of English.

Hello, my name is Izzy. I am a local teacher at EF. Why I choose to be an English teacher is because I love to be with children and teaching makes me happy. When I see my students improve their confidence and English skills, I am surer teaching is my favorite job. As for hobby, I love travelling. I love to chat with different people and get to know different cultures which will enlarge my teaching knowledge and could be shared to my students.

Hello my name is Edin Van Zijl. I am from Pretoria in South Africa. I have a degree in English, Literature and Creative Writing from the University of South Africa. My hobbies are martial arts, equestrian, yoga and writing poetry. I love teaching because I am passionate about children and about education. I know the value of passing on knowledge to the younger generation and it is this knowledge that makes teaching meaningful to me. I look forward to helping instill a genuine appreciation for English in every child that I teach.

My name is Abbi. I am extraverted and an optimistic. So I always believe that I was born to be a teacher. While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about.
Before graduation, I have horned to take part in Canton fare several times, giving me more changes to exchange ideas with other cultures to shape my world values. I love to share all those interesting things with my kids to lift their passion to learn English.
Besides, after entering into English areas, I was quite active in teaching field. I have worked in other English Institution and accumulate bunch of methods to motivate kids before coming here to EF. Thus, if it needed, I would lend my helping hand to those kids lack of confidence or acting passive.
I am into all kinds of sports with no reasons. Frisbee is among in my favorites. Play hard and have fun is the sprite of Ultimate Frisbee, but I would like to put it into “Study hard and have fun.”
