My name is Irina, I’m from Nottingham, UK. From a young age I’ve been passionate about languages, I’ve always loved learning them and talking to different people while travelling and discovering new places, which is what brought me to China. I love living here in Jinan and enjoy teaching English, because it is such an important and widely-spoken language that it makes me happy to see so many children want to learn it & have fun and enjoy doing it! I am a fan of the outdoors. I love anything like hiking, climbing &skiing. But if I’m at home you’d find me with a book & a hot chocolate!

My name is Amber. Writing has been my greatest passion since I was four years old. As soon as I learned to write, I began to storytelling. I began writing short books in any notebook I could find, and when my parents realized what I was doing, they quickly bought me an old computer to pursue this skill. I wrote dozens of books by the time I graduated high school, and the obvious choice was to study writing in university. I dove into my studies and learned various types of writing styles: children’s literature, playwriting, novels, poetry, screenplays, short stories, and academic writing. I adored all of the intricacies of each genre, though I took a particular liking to plays and novels. I entered four short plays into the theatre department’s writing competitions, two of which won first place and the last two placing in the top three. I also co-wrote a full length play that was performed by the theatre department, and had over eight of my short plays performed independently. I currently finished a novel which I will pursue publishing, and I was hired to write a screenplay adaptation for a novel that will be handed over to productioncompanies soon.
