Vice-Principal Preschool/Elementary Katrina Bloom is from New Brunswick, Canada. She received her honours degree in languages as well as her Bachelor of Education from St. Thomas University. She has previously worked as a teacher (K-8) in both Madrid, Spain and New Brunswick, Canada for 5 years.

Principal Nursery/ Preschool/Elementary Grace McCallum, Pre-School and Elementary School Principal, received her Master’s of Education degree in Administration and Educational Leadership, as well as a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of New Brunswick, Canada. Grace completed her undergraduate degree in English and History at St. Thomas University, Canada.Throughout her career, Grace has taught at various grade levels both in Canada and abroad. She moved to Beijing in 2006 and has worked at CISB since 2007. During her time at CISB, Grace has taught grade 3 and has served as the school’s Literacy Department Head for 6 years.Grace’s leadership philosophy is based on a collaborative approach to leadership, leadership as service and 21st century education. She strongly believes in consistently reflecting and reevaluating the way in which we are meeting the unique needs of the millennial learner. Grace encourages her team to be innovative in their approach to education. She also strives to know each member of the teaching team’s strengths so that they can be used in the collaborative process of maintaining the growing success of our elementary school.Grace is thrilled about her new role as principal in the school that she has called home for 7 years! She is looking forward to collaborating with students, staff, and parents to maintain the success CISB has experienced.
