Some people think that the detailed description of crimes on newspaper and TV has bad consequences, so this kind of information should be restricted in the media. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
一是可以有助于普及法律知識(shí),提高群眾的法律意識(shí)。比如近幾年對(duì)于酒駕和醉駕的危害性的大力宣傳,讓普通人開始不再犯類似錯(cuò)誤;
1. 推翻題目的前提,從而推翻結(jié)論——即題目前提中的bad consequences并非一個(gè)客觀事實(shí),而是出于主觀的誤解;那基于錯(cuò)誤的前提得出的結(jié)論,就是站不住腳的;

While some people consider disclosure of crime details in media detrimental and appeal to restrict the act, I will say it is an erroneous conclusion based on the presupposition of individuals.
It is not difficult to understand why some people decry in-depth coverage of illegal behaviors on newspapers or TV. From their perspective, media expounding on such topics inevitably results in detrimental consequences, whether these be the safety of witnesses, the privacy of all individuals involved, or particularly, the hurt to victims. In this respect, many self-claimed moralists go as far as to call for restriction on public media elaborating on the details of criminal activities.
Plausible though the above logic seems, however, I will consider it illogical to prohibit descriptions of crime details due to apprehension about their ramifications. The problem with the claim in the topic resides in its premise – the so-called ‘bad consequences’ represents something more of a personal presupposition instead of a de facto evidence. Nevertheless, whether it is detrimental to publicize the detailed information of criminality should be domain specific and context dependent. While the detailed illustration of violent crimes such as rape or torture may seem repulsive to victims and the public, the same case doesn’t apply to other situations such as financial fraud – only by publicizing all details of such crimes can the majority be alert to potential pitfalls.
Taken collectively, it is my conclusion therefore, it is a presumption to consider media exploring crime details negative and jump to the denial of the practice.
