Overview
If you’re passionate about sport coaching and want to have an impact on future generations, the knowledge understanding you’ll develop on our MSc Sport Coaching course will prepare you for a rewarding career. You’ll work on interdisciplinary solutions and enhance your employability power with skills relevant across participation and performance sport settings.
Our flexible MSc in Sport Coaching features current knowledge at the forefront of sport coaching research and practice, allowing you to develop your own area of interest and focus your learning to become a specialist on your chosen theme.
Continually engaging with contemporary and future issues within sport, including ethical problem-solving and interdisciplinary working, you'll critically consider your long-term career goals and plan for your future.
Assessment
Throughout the course, we’ll use a range of assessment methods to help you judge your progress. These include written reports, essays, proposals, reflective accounts, a patchwork portfolio of seminar tasks, audits and presentations.
Careers
You could enter a career in broad multidiscipline area of professional sports coaching. Depending on the focus of your research or work placement you could take up a range of applied roles with Sporting National Governing Bodies (NGBs) at performance or participation level. With our MSc in Sport Coaching course you’re in the perfect position to develop several postgraduate transferable skills valued by employers from different industries. Additionally, you could continue your academic career with our Sport and Exercise Sciences PhD or Professional Doctorates.
