Overview
Practice-based and underpinned by theory, our course is taught by a team of active researchers in education. As a teacher/lecturer in Higher Education (HE), this course supports you as part of your own Continuing Professional Development (CPD) so that you are able to make positive contributions to teaching and learning within the HE sectors.
Whether you are new or experienced in teaching in HE, our course is for you. Accredited against the Higher Education Academy Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF), the PG Cert encourages you to reflect upon your own practice, learn from sharing practice with others, and develop a deep understanding of educational models framing HE in contemporary University settings.
Assessment
Assessment for both modules involves the completion of a series of pieces of academic work that are informed by your both your practice and theoretical understanding. The assessment approach, named patchwork text, supports you to demonstrate your engagement with each module’s outcomes and compile the assessment for each module as the module progresses. The planning for and observation of your practice, as well as your subsequent reflection, is aligned to the module outcomes and forms part of your academic submission.
Careers
With the needs of the 21st Century classroom and learners constantly changing, our course will provide you with the transferable skills to communicate, research and apply relevant teaching knowledge and understanding to practice. With a focus on continuing professional development, the course and modules provide the opportunity to apply for Fellowship status of the HEA, can contribute to the MA Education course and ultimately towards Professional Doctorate study.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 Students need to have 70% final mark in a 4-year Bachelors awarded by a recognised university. Our standard entry criteria for postgraduate courses is IELTS 6.5 or equivalent, with nothing lower than 5.5 in any of the four elements (listening, speaking, reading and writing).
