If science is your passion and you want to work with young people, we want you in this degree.
You'll learn about what type of teacher you are and how to use your skills to motivate, support and develop students. When you graduate, you'll be qualified to teach science from middle years through to VCE. You will also have specialized science skills that will open even more doors throughout your career.
You'll learn about young people and different learning environments. You'll also discover how to make sure students feel included and supported in the classroom.
Your science subjects are broad and will see you become skilled in environmental science, biology, chemistry, earth science and more.
While you're learning these skills, you'll practice them in real classrooms throughout your degree.
Areas of study include: biology, chemistry, earth sciences, education, environmental science, general science, mathematics, science/education, senior science, teaching (secondary)

The science component of the joint degree provides the knowledge, skills and values appropriate for effective scientific investigation and communication, enabling entry into a variety of career options.
The education component prepares students as professional educators for the new and broader roles expected of them in schools now and into the future. It provides a qualification to teach in secondary schools (years 7-12).

Academic IELTS: Academic IELTS: Overall 6.0 (no band less than 6.0); 60-78 with minimums: Reading 13, Listening 12, Speaking 18, Writing 21; Pearson (PTE): Overall 50 (no band less than 50); Cambridge-CAE: Overall 169 (no band less than 169).
