This newly restructured degree is designed to equip students for careers promoting health and wellbeing in the community.
You'll develop an appreciation of the theoretical and practical principles of Health Sciences and its relationship to human behaviour, scientific theory, and our environment, as well as insights into the complexities of the Health Environment from both an illness and well-being perspective.
The degree prepares you for a range of potential career pathways in an array of health disciplines including health promotion, public health, community health, allied health industries, health and sport, health policy development and research. In addition, you'll be prepared for potential entry to graduate programs related to health promotion and public health.

Pathways/alternate entry
Credit will be considered if you have successfully completed higher education or TAFE studies. Advanced standing will be determined on an individual basis, depending on your eligibility for credit transfer, prior experience and qualifications.
If you are seeking alternate entry into the Bachelor of Health Sciences you can consider applying for the following programs:
- Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques, a Certificate IV program in a medical related field or a Certificate IV in an appropriate sport or psychology field.
- Bachelor of Science - you may complete a Single Subject Enrolment in this program.
- Foundation Access Studies (FAST) program - designed to provide you an alternative entry into tertiary study
Negotiated Offers will also be accepted through VTAC.
