在這里學什么？ Whether students are aspiring architects or building conservationists, the BA (Hons) Architecture degree course will give a strong understanding of both the practical and theoretical aspects of architecture. It combines the likes of art, philosophy and technology to bring an experimental approach to solving problems. Students will study the design of buildings and the technical aspects of construction, as well as how architecture relates to all aspects of our lives.Over the three-year course, you will learn through a mix of problem-based outcomes, design studio tutoring, workshops and traditional lecture. Delivered by people who have worked at the cutting-edge of contemporary architecture, you will develop a broad understanding of the practical and theoretical aspects of architecture.Key study topics include:- Experiment and explore architectural form-making- Parametric and computer-generated design- Techniques for designing structures and rapid prototyping- Architectural history, theory and context- Business enterprise for design and regulatory frameworks- New developments in urban design- New developments in architecture/design projects around the worldThe course will provide you with multi-disciplinary knowledge and vital transferable skills. It will prepare you for a career within the many aspects of architecture such as: urban design, housing and office design, planning, building conservation, architectural heritage, community development.
