Chart a professional path in the health care industry with a foundation in health and basic sciences and in-demand administrative skills including health care payment systems and health information management.
What You’ll Learn
The Health Sciences B.S. degree program prepares you for a fulfilling career as an administrator in the health care industry and gives you the prerequisites to pursue graduate study in occupational therapy, physical therapy, physician assistant studies, and other health-related professions. You’ll study a range of topics, from nutrition to bioethics to alternative medicine, while honing the leadership skills you’ll need to help manage and run clinics and offices.
In our Health Sciences program, flexibility is key: most courses offer you choices of formats where some or all of the instruction is available online. You’ll also complete a hands-on, two-semester internship to get real-world experience exploring various health disciplines and improving your communication and professional skills.
You’ll benefit from the close mentorship of our faculty of health professionals, who’ll share expertise across many disciplines based on experiences in the field and their participation in cutting-edge research in local, national, and international contexts.
