專業(yè)概況
在這里學(xué)什么？ BA (Hons) Architecture has been developed under EU guidelines to provide you with grounding in architecture, design and construction within an arts, design and media context. You will develop your design skills with an understanding of cultural, urban and contextual conditions, making use of the wide range of facilities on-site (such as the foundry, mould-making, metal, wood and plastic fabrication, laser cutting and model making workshops) and generating speculative design propositions at a range of scales. This course will develop your commercial awareness of the industry through a series of lectures by architecture professionals from firms such as Purcell, Caruso St John and Ash Sakula. You will graduate with a portfolio of design projects which displays critical thinking, spatial awareness and engages with diverse social-political sites and situations.This course includes a Year Zero, which promotes developing practical, technical and creative skills and confidence for the following three years. Building on your prior experience, you will be introduced to some of our workshops to assist your skill development, with an increasing emphasis on professional standards and independent study. The course places emphasis on your personal commitment to study, while supporting you in your progression.
