This course examines some of the ways in which heritage destinations are utilized in an era of sustainable development - the ostensible 'organising principle' of the twenty-first century.
Course overview
Heritage is crucial for the collective memories and sustainability of communities, as well as for the personal development of individuals. It can also be a potent economic, environmental and political asset. This course explores the concepts, approaches and methodologies of heritage practice, informed by this multifaceted approach to heritage assets.

In studying Sustainable Heritage Practice, you will have access to a wide range of heritage resources and their collections across Shrewsbury and Shropshire. There are also strong links to a number of heritage organisations and their resources, including English Heritage and the National Trust. With a focus on sustainable heritage practice, we aim to equip you with the knowledge and skills to operate within the broader heritage industry, including heritage and planning agencies, local authorities, international organisations, private enterprises and civic organisations.

It includes: East and West International Education (EWIE)/ Wiseway Global International Pre-Masters Programme at 60% or above; Dongfang International Centre for Education Exchange Top University Pre-Masters Programme at 60% or above. Applicants for the MBA should have 2 years work experience, although well qualified and motivated individuals without this will be considered. IELTS: 6.5 (no less than 5.5 in any band).
