The M.Acy. program is accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB), the hallmark of excellence in business and accounting education. Less than five percent of the world’s business programs have earned this status, one that takes years of meticulous review, evaluation and improvement to attain.
Objectives
The overall objective of the MAcy program is to produce accounting students broadly educated in business fundamentals, research methodology, accounting concepts and accounting practices. Students explore the social and environmental effects of accounting information on those who rely on it for decision making. A unique aspect of the program is its emphasis on the ethical implications of accounting, auditing, and financial reporting.
The MAcy program qualifies students to meet the current 150 semester hours required to take the Uniform CPA Examination in Texas.
