The Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (BAAS) is designed for mature adults who need individualized academic programs that award credit for nontraditional forms of learning. It is designed to give working adults an accelerated route to a bachelor’s degree by earning credit for work experience, non-collegiate instruction and test scores. You may receive:
up to 24 semester hours for work/life experience
up to 30 semester hours for training conducted by business or industry if recognized by the American Council on Education
an unlimited number of hours from the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) and Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES)
To earn the remaining credits you need for a BAAS, you will be able to select courses from multiple academic disciplines to meet your goals. This program’s focus is on developing broad skills that are applicable to a wide range of occupations.
Online and distance learning courses are available, including hybrid courses. Evening courses are offered at the Round Rock Campus (RRC) and on campus in San Marcos.

為來自中國的學生設計 Applicants must have completed a high school. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) minimum score of 550 (paper-based test) or 213 (computer-based test), or 78 total score (internet-based test) with the following 3 out of 4 minimum section scores: 19 in Reading, 19 in Listening, 19 in Speaking and 18 in Writing; International English Language Testing System (IELTS) minimum score of 6.5 with at least a 6.0 in each section.
