The Advertising program is dedicated to teaching students the strategic and creative skills necessary to solve clients' real world, real time, business problems. To that end, the Advertising sequence offers courses that cover the major job descriptions of advertising, such as strategic research and planning, business strategy and account management, creative development, ad media planning, buying and analytics. Through the sequence of courses, students are exposed to various job opportunities within the field and learn the skills necessary to become a professional in an advertising agency, company or specialized communications firm. Further, students may participate in Texas State's national, award winning AAF (American Advertising Federation) National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) team.

為來自中國的學生設計 Applicants must have completed a high school. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) minimum score of 550 (paper-based test) or 213 (computer-based test), or 78 total score (internet-based test) with the following 3 out of 4 minimum section scores: 19 in Reading, 19 in Listening, 19 in Speaking and 18 in Writing; International English Language Testing System (IELTS) minimum score of 6.5 with at least a 6.0 in each section.
