The BS with a major in Manufacturing Engineering is designed to provide students with the mathematics, science, management, engineering, and applications skills needed to become manufacturing engineers. These engineers are typically responsible for promoting manufacturability, process planning, tool design, cost estimation, factory layout, work methods, quality assurance, automation, and systems integration. The degree has a concentration in general manufacturing or semiconductor/high technology manufacturing.
Within 3-5 years after graduation, graduates of the Manufacturing Engineering program are expected to be able to attain the following educational objectives:
Perform as technical leaders in the global marketplace.
Understand and apply the principles of math, science, and engineering in design and manufacturing related activities.
Contribute to the profitable growth of manufacturing businesses.
Maintain high standards of professional and ethical responsibility.
Practice life-long learning.
Each graduate is expected to have:
An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering.
An ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data.
An ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability.
An ability to function on multidisciplinary teams.
An ability to identify, formulates, and solves engineering problems.
An understanding of professional and ethical responsibility.
An ability to communicate effectively.

Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Major in Manufacturing Engineering (General Manufacturing Concentration) - Minimum required: 129 semester credit hours
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Major in Manufacturing Engineering (Mechanical Systems Concentration) - Minimum required: 129 semester credit hours

為來自中國的學生設計 Applicants must have completed a high school. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) minimum score of 550 (paper-based test) or 213 (computer-based test), or 78 total score (internet-based test) with the following 3 out of 4 minimum section scores: 19 in Reading, 19 in Listening, 19 in Speaking and 18 in Writing; International English Language Testing System (IELTS) minimum score of 6.5 with at least a 6.0 in each section.
