Delve into the essentials of computer science with this 8-month conversion course* that will allow you to break into sought-after jobs within this field.
Studying online and part-time allows you to develop your technical skills while keeping up with your work and family commitments. You will explore key topics such as:
- fundamental theories and principles of computing and key trends in the field
- how to contextualise and develop information systems using object-oriented approaches in languages such as Python and SQL
- computer networks, network security fundamentals and information security governance principles
Throughout the course you will develop a number of programmes and applications, and the technical skills you will gain will be an asset in whichever area of computer science you go on to work in. At the end of your course, there will be the opportunity to progress onto a Postgraduate Diploma or the full Masters.

There is a global shortage of computer science professionals, and therefore a huge level of demand for computing graduates. This course is designed to help you switch careers to this technical field, and after completing your studies you will be prepared to succeed in roles such as Entry Level Software Developer or Programmer, Web Developer or Programmer, and Information System Administrator.
