The Recreation Professions program in the Department of Public Health and Recreation Professions offers a broad interdisciplinary program of studies preparing students for careers in the recreation industry. The program leads to the Master of Science in Education (M.S.Ed.) degree with a major in recreation.
Graduate students in recreation must complete a minimum of 36 semester hours including a theory core, a research core, and a specialization. A student must have a minimum 3.0 (4.0 point scale) grade point to be eligible to graduate.
Graduate work in recreation stresses professional development and research and is open to highly qualified students. All students must be admitted to the Graduate School in good standing.

English Language Requirement: 550 on the paper based TOEFL; 80 on the internet based TOEFL; 6.5 on the IELTS; 5.0 on the iTep Academic Plus Exam; C1 required on the Cambridge English Exam.
