At Southern Illinois University, MPH students receive instruction from quality faculty and have the opportunity for educational experience along with real-world application concentrated on, but not limited to, health and social disparities, rural health, and population health.
SIU is positioned in a distinctive location to enhance the educational experience for Master of Public Health students – notably, those students interested in health disparities and population health. The region surrounding SIU is disproportionately burdened by negative health outcomes, health professional shortage areas, and medically undeserved populations. Additionally, SIU is located amongst the sixteen Illinois counties designated as part of the Mississippi Delta Region – a government-designated region based on its location as well as the unique racial, cultural, and economic history.
Master of Public Health Degree Requirements:
A student must complete a minimum of 42 semester hours with the following core courses being required:

為來(lái)自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Applicants must have completed 2.7 (on a grading scale with 4.0=A; approximately a "B-" average) on the last two years of bachelor’s coursework; 3.0 on all previous graduate work (approximately a "B" average). English Language Requirement: 550 on the paper based TOEFL; 80 on the internet based TOEFL; 6.5 on the IELTS; 5.0 on the iTep Academic Plus Exam; C1 required on the Cambridge English Exam.
