THIS PROGRAM IS AVAILABLE ON-CAMPUS AND ONLINE
The curriculum recognizes graduates must have good computer application skills, as well as an understanding of the principles of organizations and systems, including an awareness of technological, economic, political, social and cultural factors. Many courses require significant hands-on computer activities related to applications software, networking communications, and computer troubleshooting and maintenance. Students may also choose five courses from an approved list to reflect their personal interests in Information Systems Technologies.
The IT degree has five course tracks that can be undertaken to get the specific skillset you need upon graduation: Cybersecurity; Network & System Administration; Web & Mobile App Development; Data Management Track; Applied Data Analytics.
CAREERS
Graduates of this program will meet the continuing needs of business and industry for personnel to use computer systems technologies within organizations utilizing end-user information systems. They will be able to supervise the planning and implementation of information systems in work/ office environments, and deal with people, procedures and equipment resources of companies in this country or abroad.

為來(lái)自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Students must have completed a high school or equivalent. Academic Requirements (grade point averages are on a 4.0 scale and are calculated by SIU): 26 credits or more at another college/university - submit college/university transcripts showing a GPA of 2.0 or greater on all coursework; 0-25 credits at another college/university - submit high school AND university/college transcripts showing 2.0 GPA on all coursework; 5 Passes on the GCE O or A level exams (under the Cambridge/ed excel model). English Language Requirement: TOEFL - 68 on the internet-based test; TOEFL - 520 on the paper-based test; ITEP - 4.0 (academic plus only); IELTS - 6.0.
