在這里學(xué)什么？
A specialization in Wildlife Habitat Management & Conservation helps students develop a heightened expertise in ecological principles and a keen appreciation of the myriad environmental factors influencing wildlife habitats.
The exciting curriculum is accredited by the Society of American Forestry and incorporates the biological, physical, ecological and managerial sciences. Students learn to use this knowledge efficiently in the management and administration of natural resources and resource-based recreation activities in diverse geographic and natural settings.
What will I study?
The curriculum includes a strong core of forestry and wildlife biology-oriented courses.
Students take on challenging classes in forest ecology, ecological biology, wildlife techniques, silviculture, forest economics, forest management, watershed management, park wildlands management, mapping and G.I.S., natural resources inventory and more.
In addition to classroom instruction, students participate in summer field studies to observe natural resource management activities on location.

Academic Requirements (grade point averages are on a 4.0 scale and are calculated by SIU): 26 credits or more at another college/university - submit college/university transcripts showing a GPA of 2.0 or greater on all coursework; 0-25 credits at another college/university - submit high school AND university/college transcripts showing 2.0 GPA on all coursework; 5 Passes on the GCE O or A level exams (under the Cambridge/ed excel model). English Language Requirement: TOEFL - 68 on the internet-based test; TOEFL - 520 on the paper-based test; ITEP - 4.0 (academic plus only); IELTS - 6.0.
