在這里學(xué)什么？
The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Zoology requires students to choose one of the following specializations: Animal Biology; Environmental Biology; Fisheries Biology and Aquatic Conservation; Pre-Veterinary Science; Wildlife Biology and Conservation.
We also offer a course in Marine Biology which includes a 5-day field trip to the Gulf of Mexico over Spring Break.
Marine Biology
Students can take a 3-credit course “Introduction to Marine Biology” (Zoology 385) which includes a 5-day field trip to the Gulf of Mexico over Spring Break. The course covers principles of marine biology, including marine ecosystems, marine habitat and biology of marine organisms. In addition to the field trip, the course is lecture and lab including behavioral experiments involving live marine organisms.
Through a partnership with the Gulf Coast Research Laboratory (GCRL) at the University of Southern Mississippi, SIU students can take intensive 3-6 credit hour summer field courses at GCRL with credits transferring to SIU. SIU Zoology offers a scholarship for students attend GCRL courses.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Students must have completed a high school or equivalent. Academic Requirements (grade point averages are on a 4.0 scale and are calculated by SIU): 26 credits or more at another college/university - submit college/university transcripts showing a GPA of 2.0 or greater on all coursework; 0-25 credits at another college/university - submit high school AND university/college transcripts showing 2.0 GPA on all coursework; 5 Passes on the GCE O or A level exams (under the Cambridge/ed excel model). English Language Requirement: TOEFL - 68 on the internet-based test; TOEFL - 520 on the paper-based test; ITEP - 4.0 (academic plus only); IELTS - 6.0.
