專業(yè)概況
在這里學(xué)什么？ The Bachelor of Music in Music Education is a professional degree that leads to eligibility for licensure to teach music in the public schools for the State of Illinois. The degree also requires passing a ten-minute juried performance on your primary instrument, called the Upper Divisional Exam, performed in front of the School of Music faculty, and usually taken at the end of the spring semester of your sophomore year. Passage of this exam permits you to continue in the degree program on schedule. Those failing are given the option of performing again the following semester, or selecting another area of specialization, such as Music Business, Liberal Arts.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Students must have completed a high school or equivalent. Academic Requirements (grade point averages are on a 4.0 scale and are calculated by SIU): 26 credits or more at another college/university - submit college/university transcripts showing a GPA of 2.0 or greater on all coursework; 0-25 credits at another college/university - submit high school AND university/college transcripts showing 2.0 GPA on all coursework; 5 Passes on the GCE O or A level exams (under the Cambridge/ed excel model). English Language Requirement: TOEFL - 68 on the internet-based test; TOEFL - 520 on the paper-based test; ITEP - 4.0 (academic plus only); IELTS - 6.0.
