在這里學什么？ Our Journalism and Content Creation programme opens up a range of employment possibilities in the expanding and exciting world of social influencing, PR, blogging, websites and much more.You’ll be given the foundation stones required for everyone working in journalism and content creation - crisp writing; how to spot, sell and tell stories; and pictures, sound and editing.Alongside this you’ll take control of your own programme pathway and choose modules from across our successful courses in journalism and media, such as PR, magazine writing, photography, radio, online and TV.In the first year, you will get a core introduction to journalism – including interview best practice, how to spot interesting angles and write dynamic copy, as well as the opportunity to learn filming and editing for different formats, audio production and web design. You’ll find out how to produce content for social media platforms and how to use them to find stories.In the second year there is a core module on creative media which will develop your skills and focus more on social media, video editing, design skills and social influencing. The ability to tell factual stories in an innovative and creative way is at the heart of this.Much of your final year is spent producing your own independent learning project. This allows you to deepen your learning in your specialist field and develop either an academic or practical project around a topic you feel audiences should know more about. You will study Public Relations, which is crucial for communications professionals.You will also have the option to take a range of creative media and journalism modules, including magazine production and digital marketing.**Professional placements**You’ll be given opportunities to work with a range of employers, from media organisations (BBC, Channel 4, ITV, Yorkshire Post) to sports clubs (Leeds United, Bradford City, Leeds Rhinos) and PR and digital marketing outlets, plus a broad range of employers who need content creation.**Career opportunities**This course has been designed to prepare you for a career that reaches far beyond traditional news journalism. Graduate destinations include producing and editing video content for websites, social influencing on different social media platforms, working in press offices, and producing and presenting podcasts.
