In combination with well-structured work placed learning, the University of Chichester course serves the Physiotherapy profession by developing respectful, compassionate graduates.
This accelerated two-year course follows evidenced-based practice principles, with an emphasis on students' active learning, engagement, and practical application of skills and knowledge in the context of real life situations. Through this balance of theory and practice experience you will graduate a capable and confident physiotherapist. As a MSc Physiotherapy graduate trained at the University of Chichester you will be knowledgeable and committed in delivering high quality care within the NHS.
By the end of the course, students who successfully complete the taught portion will be eligible to apply for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council, and membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy as a qualified Physiotherapist.
Teaching and Assessment
All modules will include formative assessment. Formative assessment comprises feedback on students' performance, designed to help them learn more effectively and find ways to maintain and improve their progress. It does not contribute to the final mark, grade or class of degree awarded to the student.
Assessment for the course varies depending on the module. The different assessment strategies include objective structured.
clinical examinations (OSCE), Viva (oral examination), oral presentations, written examinations and portfolios, and clinical case studies. These assessments will enable the modules to support and build up the students’ practical, clinical, communication and written skills that they will need both for the clinical placement module and for a successful lifelong learning. All students complete a research project dissertation.

This professional course prepares you to work as a chartered physiotherapist in the UK, with professional and portfolio development running from course start to finish.
Graduates are equipped for careers in the NHS and the private health sector, both in the UK and abroad.
Many graduates secure employment in the local area by developing networks through their placements. After a period of work experience, you will also be given the opportunity to progress to PhD research programmes and contribute to the evidence base of the profession.
