This degree will help you to make a difference to the ambitions and achievements of both elite-level athletes and sedentary populations. You'll work with our team of practicing professionals and researchers working at the cutting edge of the field of sport and exercise science to build a theoretical knowledge and a wealth of practical skills. By choosing between the Sport Performance, Sport Science and Coaching or Physical Activity for Health pathway in Year Two, you'll have the opportunity to specialize in your area of your choice, emerging as a highly-employable graduate able to work with elite athletes and diverse populations in the physical activity, exercise and health sectors.
This route is potentially more financially attractive to obtain a Masters, as you will able to apply for an undergraduate student loan. Sporting success is not achieved by individuals. Athletes rely on the teams around them, including sport scientists and coaches. Similarly, individuals who are sedentary require a team of health specialists to support them in becoming active.
