在這里學(xué)什么？ **Course Overview**Do you want to develop the digital and sustainability skills required of a built environment professional? Then this course is for you! Our BSc (Hons) Building and Construction Engineering degree is suitable for students who upon graduating want to perform the role of a building engineer, construction engineer or site manager. It also prepares students to take leadership roles in shaping the built environment.The construction industry globally has high demand for graduate engineers and provides opportunities to work in the UK and around the world. So to ensure you are equipped to meet the needs of this exciting industry, our course covers three main themes: construction technology, building engineering and management. Embedded within this curriculum are Digital Technologies, Sustainability and Health and Safety topics.Furthermore, our course covers the understanding, application and management of materials, construction technology and services in the construction and maintenance of buildings. You will learn about the construction of both low and high rise residential, office and commercial buildings, leaving you with a holistic understanding of the sector.**Course Details**This course has been designed with input from industry practitioners and professional organisations to meet industry requirements for graduates in this field. It has been developed in consultation with the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE) and Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) for the accreditation of the course.During your degree you will be taught using lectures, seminars, workshops, laboratory experiments and more. Problem-based learning, case studies and digital technologies will also be included where appropriate. You will also have access to excellent lecturers with industry experience and specialist design and project management software such as AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Project.Moreover, you will be assessed through a number of means including:- Coursework- Written Assignments- Practical laboratory and field work- Reports- Presentations- ExamsWith this varied and comprehensive approach to learning and assessment in mind, you can rest assured that you will be adequately prepared for employment following graduation from our BSc (Hons) Building and Construction Engineering course.Furthermore, you will be provided with unique opportunities to develop the employability skills required by construction companies, from small to medium enterprises to large multinational construction companies, through work experience opportunities, live briefs, site visits and guest lecturers.
